I think I could have jumped a little higher -- I wanted 40 inches but the first time I went for it, I kind of leap frogged around the plates and I was afraid if I fell I might land on my shoulder and that would take me from bad-enough to even-worse so I stopped. Maybe one day I'll have a foam pit
